like a part of me has been set free
snapped loose from its mooring
what held me down is now gone
im finally seeing things clearly
theres a buzzing deep in my chest
an alertness to my eye
the air feels full of electricity
i can smell it in the air
head thrown back
eyes to the heavens
i outstretch my arms
grasping at beauty
finding it was already
in my own two hands
