when we first touched
skin on skin
mouths on mouths
feeling you beneath my hands
for the first time
the look in your eves
as the sun set that hot summers night
trembling
shaking more than i ever thought i could
as you touched me
and found me
my hot heart
held in your hands
time snapped
like a rubber band
hours became minutes
senses so heightened
streetlamps blinking
behind closed curtains
hearing the birds
as darkness came
skin sticky with sweat
and swollen bruised lips
in that moment
i found bliss
i still feel you
hot inside
like that first time
that first night
so long ago
but unchanged for all time
